So, we looked up the details and headed out yesterday morning. It was perfect for picking, and I left with three buckets of beautiful, sweet strawberries.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bbryson.com\/erin\/files\/2011\/07\/IMG_0174.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2054 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_0174\" src=\"http:\/\/bbryson.com\/erin\/files\/2011\/07\/IMG_0174.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"469\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"http:\/\/bbryson.com\/erin\/files\/2011\/07\/IMG_0174.jpg 640w, http:\/\/bbryson.com\/erin\/files\/2011\/07\/IMG_0174-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 469px) 100vw, 469px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I promptly washed and stemmed the berries before eating a bunch, freezing some, eating some more, and making jam!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bbryson.com\/erin\/files\/2011\/07\/IMG_0175.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2055 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_0175\" src=\"http:\/\/bbryson.com\/erin\/files\/2011\/07\/IMG_0175.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"http:\/\/bbryson.com\/erin\/files\/2011\/07\/IMG_0175.jpg 640w, http:\/\/bbryson.com\/erin\/files\/2011\/07\/IMG_0175-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/a>This is my first attempt at jam, and really I should admit that it&#8217;s freezer jam &#8211; no canning necessary. But it looks awfully pretty, and it smells awesome.
