After returning from MEA break I made it through two nights of conferences, and three morning meetings. It was quite a week! Work life has been flowing smoothly. I can hardly believe the end of the first quarter is just two days away!

Last weekend Bill and I headed up to Cook. We spent Friday night by our selves at the lake. Dad was on a road trip, April in the cities. It’s always kind of strange to have a quiet night at Dad’s. Usually there’s someone there. And I miss the days of hearing Grandpa march up the steps with the day’s mail or his, “What’s goin’ on here?”

That said, I did get to go and visit Gram and Gramp at the nursing home. I suppose it’s never easy for anyone to make that transition, but I must say I’m happy to know they’ve got the level of care they need there. They were both in good spirits the few times we stopped in.

Lo came up, and we met with Mom for breakfast at the Montana. There’s always plenty to catch up on. Breakfast was good, too.

Of course all the buzz is speculation of the details of the upcoming wedding. Yes, April and Jesse are getting married! We’re all quite happy for them both.

Today’s Halloween.
