It’s not that I don’t like my job, but who doesn’t enjoy a day off now and again? So, I’m happy to know I can sleep in a little later because we’re 2 hours delayed. I’ll admit I’m a little jealous that Bill will be hunkered down even longer, as he just got the call that school’s canceled.
So, I’m going to go and read a little of my latest book (Confessions of a Shopaholic – I know, a real thinker!). And I’m going to count on Bill stoking up the fire so it’s nice and toasty when I get up 2 hours later than usual. And I’m going to keep my fingers crossed that the water is still running in the morning (when it’s -60).
I hope you’ve got a nice warm parka around!
Hope you enjoyed your extra sleep, a nice warm fire, and maybe some hot chocolate or apple cider. Mmmmm. And I really, really hope that your water is running. Love you!
Hi Erin
I was checking out your blog today (I realized I had no idea what you and Bill have been up to!) and noticed you posting about COLD weather. Abby and I are also ALWAYS cold (Abby more than me, as Utah is surprisingly temperate). Anyways, John got me an insulated skirt for Christmas that I love. They are quite hip in Anchorage (according to Abby, she has had one for a few months now)- you should check them out! Abby & Steve’s neighbor is the Anchorage rep, and I know you can buy them from Skinny Raven/ AMH/ etc in Anchorage, as well as on their website. Abby wears her’s everywhere. Mine is usually just reserved for wearing around the house/ starting the car/ post-skiing, etc- again, not so cold in UT.

Happy shopping!!! Say hi to Bill for me.
