We had a wonderful Easter weekend thanks to the opportunity to spend Sunday afternoon lazying around and eating way too much with friends. It helped that we were able to get into the right state of mind with some egg coloring Saturday night with the Johnsons… and, the Easter Bunny left a “Twister” towel for Bill and some Cadbury eggs that we shared. 🙂 (Apparently the old bunny flopped again back home this year… there was no one around to hunt for baskets!) 🙁
I hope not to jinx myself at the mention of the beautiful weather we’ve been having, but it’s really starting to feel like spring. Bill and I ran outside together this weekend, and the goal is to do the same before he heads to work in the mornings. In the past 7 years, I have always been the early riser urging Bill to join me on a morning jaunt… and somehow I’ve been the one fighting it the past two mornings. Well, tomorrow is another day.
I just got back from a walk outside. (Mind you, it’s 10 at night.) It was beautiful, though… the sun is slowly setting, and the outdoors are filled with sounds of school kids on the playground, beach, and strolling “main street”. So often things out here don’t seem simple, but tonight I enjoyed feeling removed from the rest of the world. What a crazy place.
Bill and I have enjoyed a quiet evening, but he’s been making me laugh with his ridiculous (silly) comments. I think we’ve been taking life too seriously lately. The job hunting, applications, and interview preparing are easy to get wrapped up in. We’re trying to share the focus with some of the trip planning, but Bill is pushing for an unplanned adventure. Oooh, that’s a little more stress. 😉
Oh yeah, I recently got the “random image” added into my blog. (Thanks, of course, to my tech savy hubby.)Â Your face coming soon!
Hey Scootie….glad to hear that you had a good Easter. The bunny did visit me in Chisholm with all of my favorites!!! It was nice to come home from a night shift to find chocolate (and my husband of course!!). Anyway, back to the grind tonite….not too bad though, and I get to work with Robin…..a good friend. I am a little bit bummed tonite, I’ll have to tell you why sometime. Or maybe not, you may not want to hear me bummed. Oh well……hope you are continuing to have fun and laugh…..see you soon…….Love ya….Lo
hi peaches!
Sounds like you and Bill are having fun…. you two are so in love!!!
Nope- no Easter bunny this year. It was kind of sad! I did get a pair of socks from Jesse’s mom… too sweet. We made up silly baskets for his siblings with dollar stuff from target~ So- i think they enjoyed them. I’m so jealous of Laura! Sounds like she got all sorts of treats!
Ok~ I am back at school after my 7 days off…. Boo! Better go get a few things ready for the little munchkins. Only about 16 days left for me!
Miss you like crazy!
xoxo
Hello my girl!
So glad to know you enjoyed your Easter holiday. I thoroughly enjoyed having an extended long weekend, being with Grandma and Grandpa Poderzay, and just counting my blessings. I also was glad to hear your voice! Miss you lots and lots. Got to speak with Laura on Easter and then April on her way home from the Cities. Gotta love it! Reminds me of how very lucky I am to have such wonderful daughters – in every way!!!!!
Got my hair cut – very short – on Monday. Trisha always does such a great job and somehow manages to make me feel so much better about myself. And, thanks to my terrific daughters, didn’t have to pay the full amount – thanks for the Easter gift. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, ask your sister, April. How thoughtful as always!
Looking forward to seeing you when you get home. Say hi to Bill. Hope all is well in Unakaleet(land)!
Love you both very much,
Mom
ps – I enjoy the random images as well
Glad you had a good Easter, the bunny vistied Dylan twice, once at the hotel, and once at his Gr’andma’s. The Bunny did not visit me, but my thoughtful little guy told me I could eat his chocolate too!! Can’t wait to see you, Hi to Bill.. Love ya Stacy
