At the Cabin

We headed to Bill’s family’s cabin over in Cass Lake last Wednesday since Barb was down from Alaska and on her way to the area. Thursday Zac and Bunny (Bill’s aunt and uncle) came over, so we got to see their brand new car – they’ll be enjoying around 60 miles to the gallon with the sporty new purchase! It was fun to check out and even better to spend the whole afternoon and into the evening catching up. Barb and I ended the night with a dip in the lake.

The next morning we jumped on the bikes (my butt still sore from a ride the day before!) and had a nice ride around the local trails.

We even encountered a couple of badgers on our ride. I think that’s the first time I’d ever seen one… well, two!

Bill, Barb, and I headed into Bemidji (about 25 minutes away) to run a couple of errands and to pick up Bill’s Grandma Dunlap. She joined us at the cabin for the afternoon… what an amazing lady! At 91 years old she kept right up with the rest of us!

Zac and Bunny came over again – so, more visiting and a little birthday dinner in honor of Bunny’s day this week.

We all got a little reading in – what I’m coming to learn as a must at the cabin. Bill’s pick was the Guiness Book of World Records from quite a few years ago. Watch out, folks, he’s armed with a whole new bunch of random facts! 🙂
