I was fortunate to be able to connect with yet another old friend this week. Amy was another victim of my late night sleep over homesickness. 🙂 But – she stuck it out and we’ve remained friends over the years. Though we haven’t been great at phone calls or even many visits since high school, it seems we can always pick up where we last left off.
Of course, most of our lunch conversation revolved around mommy-hood… Amy became a new mother to Kayla Lynn about 4 1/2 weeks ago. What a beautiful baby – and she’s so good! I am so thankful for the chance to get to see Amy in her new role, and look forward to our future visits.
I am so happy to be near my family and to have more opportunities with Minnesota friends. And I am only more and more excited by the prospect of the next chance we have to get together with our far-away friends & family… I miss you guys!
Kayla is such a precious little thing. I think we need to go and visit them again. 🙂
It will be so nice having you within driving distance this year~ we can even meet up in Grand Rapids on a school night! I can swing in and pick up Lo, too!
