Laura went into labor last night and Kate entered the world after a c-section this morning. She is BEAUTIFUL! Her little lungs didn’t want to work right away, and arrangements were made to ship her over to Duluth. Luckily, all cleared out and she was able to stay with her mommy and daddy in Grand Rapids. We got to go and meet Kate after school today.

Mommy and Kate were both doing well when we arrived!

Baby Kate seemed to like snuggling up next to Auntie April’s tummy. Maybe she can coax her cousin out! And of course it’s obvious that she already adores her grandpa and uncles! (We missed her visit Grandma Toots, but there’s no doubt she loves her Grandma, too! 🙂 )

She is so TINY and amazing. What an exciting time.
beautiful…beautiful…beautiful baby kate! Congrats to ALL!
She is precious! You’re so lucky to be surrounded by little ones! (Be careful, though. You might get the bug!)
Hope the rest of your school year goes fast, and that your trip to Australia is amazing! (When do you go?) We’ll be in the Cook area in mid-June–you’ll probably be gone, huh?
Enjoy your last days of school and get lots of snuggles in with baby Kate!
Hugs,
Melissa and the boys

Thanks for the pictures Auntie Erin!!! She is so cute! Dylan and I can’t wait to meet Kate.
I love that she always has her arms in the air….
she is so gorgeous.
Congrats! YEY for becoming an auntie. She is adorable!
Wonderful, happy news for all of you. Congrats, Erin.
Congratulations on a new little girl in the Aune extended family. I love the name – Kate!
And congratulations to you, Erin and Bill on becoming Auntie and Uncle!
Also – I am so happy that she was able to stay in Grand Rapids! It’s always a little nerve wracking when you have an issue right away at birth, but so wonderful that everything worked out for the best!
Hello my love,
got your message… sorry I didn’t get back to you yet. spent the weekend with my mom packing and moving some stuff over to the new house. anyway… CONGRATS “auntie” as our students would say! So glad everything turned out ok and that mama and baby are doing great. Was it a little early? I feel it wasn’t to come until June, but I could have made that up. Anyway, hope all is well!!!
Love,
Sara
