February Is Here

I’m planning to really enjoy February. I really have no idea how I’m going to accomplish that, but it’s on my to-do list.

I hear old Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow yesterday. My dad had a good point – we can pretty much count on at least 6 weeks of winter whether the groundhog sees his shadow or not. So, I’m trying to wrap my mind around that – because honestly, I’m ready to be back out in the boat.

Also, I can’t wait to play with my favorite babies this summer. They’re going to be so much fun! Katsie is already showing off as a “water baby”… poor Sawyer caught the nasty cold I’ve had for a week. It’s been really nice to have them both around this past week. Well – and always. But they have been an especially bright spot in a dreary week.

Those babies can’t wait to play with you either! I can’t wait to take them in the lake this summer- Black Bay, Here We Come! Won’t be too much longer…

I too have “try to enjoy the 6 weeks of winter/6 weeks until spring.” It’s getting harder every year, I must admit. Little Sawyer and Kate are adorable. Isn’t it funny how having children present brings joy and smiles – almost allows one to forget about winter…
