Every day I break from my 5th graders and teach 90 minutes of reading to my little group of 1st graders. It is so different than the rest of my day. It’s been really rewarding to watch this group transform from knowing only a few letters and sounds to becoming full-fledged readers!
It certainly hasn’t been easy, as I don’t consider myself to be a “natural” with the little ones. To me it’s far more challenging to work with the primary grades. But I’m thankful for how they change-up my days. Especially when they bring me little gifts like this card I received today. 🙂

This is just special. Don’t those little ones just warm your heart! A sweet card for a super-sweet teacher!
Ack! That’s adorable. That would be enough to brighten an entire month. =)
that is fantastic…and really that is what keeps you teaching!
love that it is all in red!

That is so precious! That’s one reason why I love the little ones….
I never made you a card… but I love you in my hart too!
And those are the rewards for being a teacher! Awesome! And I love you in my hart, too!
That has to be one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen! PS….how did the cookies turn out?
