A Little Bit of Everything

It snowed this morning. Snow makes me kind of cranky. For the most part I think I pulled out of it – though at lunch when my friend asked if I was going for a walk (like I normally do), I think I pretty much just grunted, “I hate snow” at her. How did I ever survive Alaskan winters? My students, on the other hand, love snow. The first snow is like Christmas – almost like they’d never seen the white flakes in all the years they’ve lived in Minnesota!

Anyway, I thought I’d throw a quick post out into blog world. It’s going to be random.

First off, I really can’t get enough of these two monkeys. They just make me laugh.

.

I appreciate that I get to work with first grade readers. They open my eyes and keep me excited about teaching.

Any afternoon that I get to stop by and hang out with my sisters is a good afternoon.

Tonight I made myself a pitcher of blue Kool-Aid complete with Splenda. I can’t help but wonder how bad this is for my insides!

And just one more reason I love my husband. He put on my “witch wig” from the Halloween costume I’ll wear tomorrow AND let me take a picture of it for my blog.  I’m kinda thinking he should grow his hair out and go for an 80s rock band look!

I do hope that all is well, and that this transition from fall to winter goes smoothly for all.

I had no idea you hated snow so much. Bummer.

C.O. didn’t even recognize Bill in that wig. You should have heard the sort of repulsive way he said, “Who is that?”

we just got snow this week…i am ready for it, but not the chores that come with it…i love how the snow hides all the mess…must come from the alaska in me.

as for bill…definitely sexy…if not a rock band, then a cross dresser for sure!

Snow is a treat if I know I get the day off and can make it FUN with a book, warm fire, hot cocoa… but to think of driving in it & working, NO THANK YOU! The little monkeys are as cute & sweet as ever AND I love that you treated yourself to some good old-fashioned kool-aid… plus that guy with the awesome hair, now he’s a keeper!!
