Eating Green

Since Bill and I didn’t really get a chance to celebrate his birthday last Saturday, I decided to bring home some fresh stuff from Anchorage. We enjoyed beef sirloin, fresh romain salad, asparagus, bananas and kiwi. Our dinner conversation was focused on how nice it will be to eat fresh fruits and veggies any time we want next year – it’s the small things that count!

What a nice dinner! We’re roasting hot dogs tonight with our nephews Tobi and David. It will be the fire pit’s innagural blaze for the season. I’m so excited! If you guys come visit some day, we can have a campfire and make s’mores. We don’t have a lake, but we have a fire ring!

    Love ya,

    Melissa

My Betty Crocker…..nice job! Counting down the days until you and Bill are back in Minnesota. Starting to get antsy about it. Maybe when you get back you can make that dessert you were telling me about – remember, the blueberry dessert? Some days it’s just so hard to imagine you being wife and mother when I can still see my “little Tomboy fiddling” at the firepit by the lake. Time sure goes by fast!

Love you (and Bill) and miss you lots and lots!

I guess you’re not Mother yet, huh? Sorry about that! April did announce it at the table – remember?

I don’t remember announcing anything at the table?? I’m forgetful I guess…. But I agree with mom, you are totally a Betty Crocker. Your meal looks fergilicious. It’s so delicious.

I worked over at G&G’s today for a bit… and cleaned down at the lake. Can’t wait for you to be home to help me… ok- that’s not the only reason… mainly cause I miss you like crazy!

    See you soon.

    xoxo

Oh my goodness… both the meal and picture look like they should be on the front cover of a fancy food magazine… too fun! I am sure you guys enjoyed the fresh goodies. I have been indulging in a green salad every night! I LOVE it…. but am MISSING you terribly.
