Steady snow through out the day. About 8 inches of fresh snow to shovel. Lots of good food to eat and four kinds of pie to sample. A friend of Bill’s from the college joined us for dinner and our neighbors across the street joined us for dessert and games. Erin and Katie knitting up a storm and Bill 3 fine-tuning the new family website. Standley’s and Holdens come in tomorrow. Looking forward to time with them.

Though the forecast looked grim last night before bed, Katie made it into Valdez on the morning flight before the weather took a turn for the worse. My feeble attempt at a snowman greeting” collapsed before Katie saw him. Several pictures of the “dead” snowman on the front porch were taken though….
Got some pies made for tomorrow and enjoyed time chatting with the kids. It will be nice when Bill gets off work. Then we’ll be officially ready to begin Thanksgiving.”

Bill 3 has set Dad and I up with our own blog. This will be very fun and hopefully I’ll start journaling a bit better. Nice day today. Maybe Katie has a chance making it by plane tomorrow. Although you never know what Valdez weather will do… Great having Bill and Erin in for the holidays!! They’re set up in the family room downstairs. Bill and I came home last night to chicken & burgers on the grill and fried potatoes. Yum! Erin busy knitting a new red stocking cap and Bill busy updating our network problems. All for now.
